Welcome to my web site
I am a Senior Research Fellow and Scientific Manager affiliated with Knowledge Media Institute (KMi). My main activity comprises the technical management of the NeOn Project. Before NeOn, I led the KMi team in the KnowledgeWeb network of excellence and in the climateprediction.net distributed computation project. I am also an Associate Lecturer at the Open University Business School (OUBS).
Over to something about my past...
Originally, I am from Kosice, Slovakia, but I obtained my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and MBA in the UK. Since 2002 my main scientific and technological innovation is the world's first semantically enriched web browser Magpie – a plugin for standard web browsers and application development framework for the emerging Semantic Web tools.
My other research interests cover knowledge management and modelling, interaction of different types of knowledge, semantic enrichment of distributed data and support for community building, communication and remote collaboration.
