    R&D in knowledge and system modelling, and advanced web technologies in a 70+ strong Knowledge Media Institute (KMi); design and development of infrastructures and tools for navigation and e-learning support enriched with knowledge models and semantic services; application of knowledge modelling in data security, access rights and trust management, and knowledge management; re-design and extension of legacy information systems using web services, model-based software methodologies, Web 2.0 infrastructures and knowledge technologies (e.g., with FAO of the United Nations); technical leadership and project management of the NeOn project and interaction with European Commission and 14 European partners; technical leadership of KMi teams in three other projects, leadership, strategy formulation and co-ordination of KMi outreach to customers/partners
